Neck Tightening Treatments

Why the Neck Shows Ageing
The neck is often one of the first areas where signs of ageing become evident. Skin laxity, diminished collagen and elastin, weakened support structures and gravity all contribute to loose, crepey skin and drooping of the neck.
In practice, this means:
• Vertical muscle bands (platysma bands) may become visible.
• Excess fat under the chin and at the jawline may accentuate laxity.
• Skin texture becomes thinner, more crepey, and less responsive to firming.
At Donnybrook Cosmetic Clinic, we recommend understanding the full picture of your neck anatomy (skin, fat, muscle, support structures) and then choosing the right neck tightening treatments to match your concerns.
Neck Tightening Treatment Options
At Donnybrook Clinic we offer a variety of tailored neck tightening treatments, designed to match the severity of your skin laxity, your downtime requirements, and your aesthetic goals.
Non-Invasive Neck Tightening
For mild to moderate neck laxity, treatments such as, radiofrequency (RF) skin tightening and ultrasound-based therapies are excellent first-line choices. These technologies deliver controlled heat deep into the skin’s layers, stimulating collagen contraction and regeneration. RF microneedling systems give minimal downtime and visible tightening.
Minimally Invasive Treatments
For more pronounced laxity, especially where fat removal, skin contraction, or muscle band correction is required, minimally invasive options may be recommended. Treatments like FaceTite / NeckTite (radio-frequency assisted liposuction & skin contraction) are amongst the most effective treatments currently available which do not require invasive neck lift surgery.

Consultation & Assessment
You’ll start with a detailed one-to-one consultation with Dr Sami Hameid, where he will evaluate: skin quality, neck bands, fat deposits, skin crepiness, and your goals. He’ll also review your medical history and anatomy, then explain the options in clear terms.
Treatment Day & Aftercare
-
For non-invasive treatments: typically, 30-60 minutes, minimal to no downtime, you return to normal activities almost immediately.
-
For minimally invasive treatments: you may require local anaesthetic, sometimes a short garment or bandage, and the occasional day or two of mild swelling.
-
We’ll provide full aftercare instructions. Downtime, swelling, and results track with the treatment type.

Results & Maintenance
Results often develop gradually (collagen renewal takes time) and are seen over 8-12 weeks in many cases, with full effect in up to 6 months for deeper treatments. Most collagen-stimulating procedures require some time to show full results.
Dr Sami Hameid will advise a maintenance plan specific to you, because long-term neck contours benefit from ongoing care and lifestyle support.

Is This Treatment Right for You?
Common signs you may benefit from neck tightening treatments include:
-
Noticeable sagging or looseness beneath the chin or around the jawline
-
Horizontal neck lines and crepey skin
-
Visible platysma (vertical) bands or “turkey neck” appearance
-
Loss of neck definition or a soft jawline contour
-
Desire to avoid surgical neck lift but still improve appearance
If you recognise these signs, our first step is a consultation to identify which underlying factors (skin laxity / fat / muscle bands) are contributing, and which treatment path is most appropriate.
